Here’s a quick update after a long time without blogging.
As the two or three readers of my blog may have noticed, I haven’t been very active on the internets over the last couple of months.
I had to undergo surgery last October and will have another one next year.
While my training is pretty restricted at the moment and quite different from before, I never stopped with it and trying hard to recover while at the same time improving all the other things I’m allowed to do at the moment.
Yesterday I took some pictures and a very good friend of mine suggested putting them on my blog. I guess if any of you are also going through some hard times right now or in the future, they can serve as some kind of motivation to keep going.
After all the research I did concerning Shaolin and Chan I’ve learned that it is much more than just Kung Fu or a simple religion, it is either in everything or it is nothing at all.
I promise when I’m done with all of this I will come out stronger and wiser. Never give up and keep fighting! It is just about how bad you want it…

This is an incredibly good definition of a body!
AntwortenLöschenIt is very helpful to see what can be achieved, although there are often situations where you may not be his usual walk away!
A good time for you!
Take care..
I am extremely impressed with what you achieved, considering your circumstances. I am struck with awe, looking at your determination to train your body and mind, even if you are limited in possibilities to do so.
AntwortenLöschenWith a mindset like this, even in times of dire dearth it is possible to prosper.
God speed. You are a true idol.
Guys, thank you so much for your kind words, that means a lot to me! :)
AntwortenLöschenWow! I don't know why we all talk english as we do speak german language very well. Ok, for me ... guess ... well :-))).
AntwortenLöschenYou are awesome!!! I wish you all the best now and in future. It's an honor to have met you in real life although i don't know very much of you.
Your light is shining to guide the way.
Thank you so much my friend! Actually, I think your story and awesome transformation is no less inspiring :)
AntwortenLöschenHi Oliver,
AntwortenLöschenI will stir things up a bit right now and actually going over to german... ;-)
LG
Very impressive Oliver!
Hey Oliver, Ive been following you for some time now, specifically since your Warrior Diet days. I have always admired your great physique, and ability to stay in such good shape. I had one question for you.
AntwortenLöschenSpecifically, what is your current Diet regime like? I'd be curious to know, what you do in order to keep in such good shape.
-Matthew
Hey Matthew,
AntwortenLöschenthanks a lot for the kind words!
You could call it paleo + dairy and rice ;) I eat loads of dairy, mainly butter, quark and cheese but also some milk, raw whenever possible. Besides that, meat, fish, lots of veggies, some fruit, dark chocolate. Quite a bit of white rice.
While I still have my biggest meal at night, I eat whenever I want and how much I want, I don't care for fasting or regular feeding hours. When I do fast it is just because I didn't have time to eat or wasn't hungry ;) Hope that helped :)
Wow thanks! And yes, It did help very much so. That sounds almost Identical to what i do as well. I got too caught up in fasting, and meal timing, and macro ratio's it started to drive me nuts ( and I was losing far too much weight). So now I just try to eat Paleo/Dairy/Rice/Potato, and eat whenever It feels right. The main meal at night for me is more for practicality. I even have breakfast sometimes.
AntwortenLöschenI was just curious, do you eat your rice/carb only at night time with your main meal? or Do you have it during the day as well, or just whenever?
-Matthew
Sounds great! :)
AntwortenLöschenUsually I have it at night, sometimes for breakfast but that's certainly not for performance, only because of gluttony ;)
I hate a big lunch so I rarly eat at that time of the day.
All the best,
Oliver
Wow thanks man!
AntwortenLöschenI was doing the same thing except I would go without carbs or starch for too long, and then I would lose too much weight, and started having gut issues. Once I added starch in the form of potatos and rice an some beans back into my diet , I was able to maintain my wieght and health better then when I was without carbs. Personally from the latest research I have been finding, typical Europeans and Asians have the highest level of amalayse enzymes in the saliva. Since my heritage is from south Germany, I have no doubt this would be the case for me.
